Abingdon airfield is usually cold and windy so it was no surprise to see familiar conditions on Sunday for round 11 of the Parentini Wessex CX League – if somewhat light on the mud that we’ve seen elsewhere this season. The slippery, twisting, undulating, assault course of a track provided some fast racing and a few first lap spills for our riders. Well done Tom Allen and Stanley Phillips who didn’t give up and battled on to finish.
