For all awards we wish to encourage and promote participation; We aim to promote the club partaking and having fun in the events and inspire the younger members to try new things.

 

The Coaches Award

The Coaches Award data is collated from all the Sotonia Coaches in Dec 2025 – April 2026. For further information on this award please see Phil Connell.

 

Cycling Discipline Awards

For all Events we look at the formal categories results are recorded by and calculate gender places if they are not split out

 

Counting Races for February 2026 Awards event disciplines

• Road:

  • 2025 Hillingdon Spring (5 rounds) and Autumn events (3 rounds)
  • Odd down series (2 rounds) (Odd down based)
  • Sulis Scorpions Odd Down 2025 (2 rounds) (Odd down based)
  • BC South Regional Youth circuit racing (5 Rounds )
  • Counting rounds Top 6 results from the Road races across the series above.
  • Note:
    • We will review this criteria based on any race rounds changes during the season.
    • We are currently only counting Mountbatten Saturday races as part of the Youth Circuit Series

 

• CX:

  • 2025-26 Wessex CX league Events – (12 rounds – reduced from 13 due to Crabwood cancellation Jan 2026)
  • https://www.wessexcyclocross.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Wessex-Rules-for-2025-2026-Season_v2.pdf  YOUTH counting rounds are top 6 results excluding the Southern Champs from a total of 12 races in the series.

 

• MTB:

• • • 2025 Southern XC rounds – Top 3 results from 5 races in the series (as one event was IOW and this provided an access barrier to many families)
