There was a large, quality field for an early season test on the Romsey course this weekend for the Test Valley Time Trial double bill. With solos riding on Saturday and a Two-up Team event on Sunday run by Glenn Longland of Antelope Race Team. James Copeland (Fareham Wheelers) took the first leg in a time of 20:55, winning the Sotonia 10 at Romsey on the p140 course in a strong northerly wind that aided riders on the outward six mile leg. Gary Chambers (Fareham Wheelers) was second, ahead of Thomas Key (Southampton University RC).
Nine Sotonia riders turned out for our first open event of the year with Jonathan Hall (22:36), James Peckham (22:39) and Phil Wilks (23:02) just outside the top 10 with great rides.
