October’s segment took riders back into the New Forest for a blast along one of Red Walters’ KoMs, the Forest Road leading up to Roger Penny Way. Strangely, nobody managed to steal it off him, but Debbie Hallett pipped Jen Dawson to the win in the female competition. Jeremy Hubbard took his first gold of the season in the male competition, with Paul Macken and Pete Coombs rounding out the podium. There were no entrants in either the male or female U16s competition, perhaps reflecting the start of the cross season.
